PARIS — Central Maine Community College (CMCC) President Scott Knapp has announced the appointment of Lisa MacDonald Cooper as the college’s director at the Western Maine University and Community College Center in South Paris.
Lisa comes to CMCC with over 20 years of experience in marketing, project administration, communication, strategic planning, and post-secondary teaching. A native of Scarborough, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Bates College and a master’s from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She served as the community education coordinator for Lewiston Adult Education and most recently worked as a small business consultant focused on rural development. Lisa has been a writing team member and parent representative for the “Hartford-Sumner Elementary School Committee to Improve School Progress” and RSU 10’s Future Options Facilities Planning Committee. She is past president of the Durham PTA and a past executive board member for the Maine PTA. She resides in Buckfield with her husband and children.
As director, Lisa is responsible for the coordination of CMCC classes offered at the Center and other locations in Oxford County. She provides advising services to students and serves as the area’s high school liaison for recruitment and admissions.
