LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Maine Health Access Foundation, will sponsor a breakfast forum Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College.
The forum topic is The Affordable Care Act: What’s in it for my small business.” It will be held from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at 51 Westminster St.
The forum is specifically designed for small businesses with less than 50 employees and sole proprietors.
Registration opens at 7 a.m., allowing 30 minutes before the forum to meet attendees.
The program begins with a panel to review issues relevant for small business in the Affordable Care Act, followed by presentations from three market place insurers.
There is no charge to attend, however, due to limited space, business owners are encouraged to reserve a seat by Friday, Jan. 17. SHOP-certified brokers have been invited to be available to answer specific health insurance questions relating to small business immediately after the program presentations.
To register, visit androscoggincounty.com/events or call the chamber at 207-783-2249.
