I would like to give a well-earned salute to all the hard-working public works employees for their efforts during the recent dangerous weather.
Special thanks to those here in my hometown of Mechanic Falls.
Throughout the year, I am amazed at what they accomplish with such a small staff and budget. The drainage work accomplished all across town prepared us well for Mother Nature’s worst.
When a storm hits, they are out ahead of it, have the roads safe to pass and the snowbanks knocked back before they quit.
I thank them for their good work.
Lawrence McCarthy, Mechanic Falls
