LEWISTON — A Poland woman was injured Monday night when the SUV driven by her husband and a station wagon driven by a Massachusetts woman collided at Lincoln and Cedar streets.
Police Lt. David St. Pierre said Dawn Martell, 42, complained of pain and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
The 2002 Ford Explorer driven by her husband, Gerald Martell, 47, and a 2011 Subaru Outback driven by Sarah Dik, 21, of Boxford, Mass., collided. The Subaru rolled onto its side, he said.
Lewiston Fire Department blocked off the intersection while they freed Dawn Martell from the SUV.
Dik and her passengers were assessed by medical personnel and refused treatment.
Gerald Martell and his young daughter were questioned by emergency personnel. The daughter told them, “I feel good, I just want my mom.”
The accident is under investigation, St. Pierre said.
