FRENCHVILLE — A 23-year-old Madawaska man escaped injury early Friday morning when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a parked wrecker.
Jake Roy was eastbound on U.S. Route 1 just before 3 a.m., when he lost control of his 2004 GMC pickup and careened off the roadway, according to Chief Deputy Darrell Crandall of the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department.
The pickup then struck a parked commercial wrecker that was partially inside a garage owned by Gary Paradis of Frenchville. Roy’s vehicle sustained substantial front end damage, Crandall said Friday night, and the wrecker sustained damage on the front right and left sides.
The garage also sustained damage on the east side of the structure, the chief deputy said.
Roy did not suffer any injuries from the crash.
