Spring 2012: Auburn city councilors discuss building a new ice rink as a successor to the city’s Ingersoll ice arena

December 2012: City officials approve lease agreement moving forward with dual-rink ice arena

January 2013: City officials get first look at plans for dual-rink ice arena

April 2013: Construction begins at 985 Turner Street; crews begin working seven days a week to meet November target date for completion

June 2013: City of Auburn hires Joshua MacDonald of Levant as General Manager

October 2013: Norway Savings Bank announces it will pay the city of Auburn $770,000 for the 10-year naming rights for the arena

Nov. 15, 2013: Rink 1 opens for use (partial arena occupancy)

Nov. 17, 2013: Ingersoll Arena closes

Edward Little dedicates locker room in memory of Jamie Benson, Auburn-resident, student athlete

Dec. 18, 2013: Rink 2 and the mezzanine open (full occupancy)

St. Dom’s dedicates its locker room in memory of Bob Boucher, hockey coach

February 2014: Concessions scheduled to open, WiFi to become available
