PARIS — On Saturday, Feb. 1, at least 350 libraries in three countries and two Caribbean islands will host “Take Your Child to the Library Day,” including Paris Public Children’s Library.

“Presenting… You” will be held at 1 p.m. Elementary-age children are invited to bring one of their favorite books to the library to do a mini presentation, thus the event name. Each participant will (1) show and tell the name of their favorite book along with the author’s and illustrator’s names, (2) state briefly what the story is about and (3) read their very favorite part aloud. The children’s librarian will share her favorite book first as an example.

After, each child will be awarded a “Certificate of Presentation and Appreciation for Sharing” Award with their name, the title of their favorite book along with the author’s and the illustrator’s names and the date.

Refreshments, including gluten-free and dairy-free, will be available.
