GILA BEND, Ariz. — Ralph “Peter” Beckey, 63, of Gila Bend, Ariz., formerly a resident of Greene and Florida, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at West Valley Emergency Center in Buckeye, Ariz.
He was born May 23, 1950, in Lewiston, the son of Robert P. Beckey and Pauline W. (Footman) Beckey. He was a 1968 graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner. He had two children, Nicholas and Melissa Beckey.
Peter worked for the Maine Plumbers & Pipefitters Union 716 in Augusta and traveled throughout the United States, working various construction jobs. He had been working in Arizona for over a year with Maine Automation.
Peter enjoyed working and providing for his loved ones.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Pauline Beckey of Greene; his son, Nicholas “Nick” Beckey of Jay; his daughter, Melissa Beckey of Chandler, Ariz.; granddaughter, Rochelle Beckey of Jay; former wife, Evangalista “Bobbie” Beckey of Greene; his siblings, Sandy Arthur and her husband, Pat, Tim Beckey and companion, Cat Tardie, and Angela Nazaroff and her husband, Don, all of Greene; and many nieces and nephews.
