1938 – 2014
FARMINGTON — Virginia L. Gordon, 75, of Brier Lane in Farmington, died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 28, at her home.
She was born in Dixfield on March 27, 1938, a daughter of Burchard and Eleanor Adams Merrill, and received her education in Dixfield schools. In 1960, she married Reginald Williamson in Dixfield; he died in 1986.
Virginia worked in various shoe shops and on the family poultry farm for years. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking, and was active in Cub Scouts and the Rebekahs.
She is survived by her children, Carol Gilblair of Arundel, Burchard Williamson and his wife, Karen, of Farmington, Earl Williamson of Jay, Kim Aragauy of Farmington and Jamie Williamson and his wife, Laurie, of Arundel; two stepbrothers, Sonny Fletcher and Gilbert Fletcher, both of Dixfield; a half-brother, Edie Merrill, of Dixfield; a stepsister, Penny, of Arizona; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Emery, in 2005.
