YARMOUTH — This winter and spring, 317 Main Community Music Center will present Noon Tunes, a free noontime concert series held on the second Tuesday of every month. The hour-long performances will feature the talented 317 Main faculty in a variety of genres and settings. The free concerts take place in the Cafe at 317 Main Street and are open to the general public. The building at 317 Main is fully accessible and all ages are encouraged to attend.

The series begins on Tuesday, Feb. 11, with the swinging trio of Kate Campbell Strauss, Jed Wilson, and Steve Roy. Featuring saxophone, piano, and bass, the group will spend a lively hour performing jazz standards and improvisation.

Tuesday, March 11 will feature Lincoln Meyers and Friends. Meyers is one of the region’s leading flat-picking guitarists and can be found at the epicenter of the acoustic scene throughout Maine and beyond.

On Tuesday, April 8, fiddle player Erica Brown and guitarist and mandolin player Matt Shipman will play a variety of acoustic roots music accompanied by stellar two-part vocal harmonies.

Tuesday, May 13 will find Tyler Stanley and Friends playing a program of lively contemporary music. Local audiences know keyboardist Stanley for his work with Portland’s popular funk band, Sly-Chi, and with The Pete Kilpatrick Band.

On June 10, 317 Main vocal instructor Kathy Slack will perform a wide range of material, spanning Broadway, jazz, and contemporary music. She will be accompanied by her 317 Main colleagues.
