1926 – 2014

FARMINGTON — Marie “Regina” Tardif, 87, a resident of Main Street in Livermore Falls, died late Wednesday evening, Feb. 12, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 30, 1926, in St. Evariste, Quebec, the daughter of Archille and Albertine (Pelchat) Marceau. Regina attended school in Canada. On Sept. 7, 1948, in St. Everest, Quebec, she married her husband of 56 years, Gerard A. Tardif; he passed away on Feb. 19, 2005.

They made their home and raised their family in Livermore Falls and Jay. She worked alongside her husband as a barber at Regina’s Men Hairstyling in Livermore Falls, barbering for 46 years. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. Regina enjoyed gardening, but especially time spent with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Tardif of Farmingdale and Michael Tardif of Jay; two granddaughters, Laurilyn Tardif of Albion and Jennifer Tardif of East Madrid; and her siblings, Sister Rita Marceau of Quebec City, Quebec, Carmelle Martin of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Bernadette Bolduc of St. Daniel, Quebec, Sister Marie Anne Marceau of Quebec City, Quebec, Albert Marceau of La Guadelope, Quebec and Emmanuel Marceau and Jeanne D’Arc Quirion, both of New Hampshire.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Marceau and Sister Trerese Marceau; and her brother, Fred Marceau.
