SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The following area residents graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Air Force Airman Daniel A. Barry is the son of Karen Toothaker and grandson of Barb Toothaker, both of New Vineyard. He is a 2013 graduate of Spruce Mountain High School, Livermore Falls.

Air Force Airman Mathew R. Fortin is the son of Brenda Fortin of Lewiston. He is a 2010 graduate of Lewiston High School.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Allison C. Desrochers is a 2000 graduate of Lake Region High School, Naples. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 2008 from Husson University, Bangor.
