1952 – 2014

LEWISTON — Roland H. Levesque, 61, of Lewiston, passed away early Friday morning, Feb. 21, at Central Maine Medical Center with his loving family by his side following a long illness.

He was born in Lewiston, on Dec. 21, 1952, the son of the late Henri and Jeanne (Groleau) Levesque and had been a resident of this community all of his life.

He was educated in Lewiston schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1970.

He was employed for many years as a lab technician at Pioneer Plastics.

Roland was an avid sports enthusiast which included playing golf, softball, bowling, hockey, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed family vacations especially to Lake George in New York, singing karaoke, playing his guitar, performed as an actor in many plays at the Community Little Theater, playing cards with family and friends, daily ritual to Edward’s Restaurant for coffee and doing the daily newspaper crossword puzzles. He looked forward to a weekly Sunday tradition of eating breakfast with his family and friends at The Settlement in Sabattus. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Holy Family Parish, Midtown Athletic Club and the 20M Club.

Roland will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife the former, Connie P. Boisvert, whom he married on May 26, 1973, of Lewiston; two daughters, Nicole Levesque and Karyn Levesque, both of Lewiston; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Vye and Emily Bingelis, both of Lewiston; three brothers, Robert St. Pierre and his wife, Linda, of Litchfield, Jean “John” Levesque and his wife, Gabrielle, of Lewiston and Gerard Levesque and his companion, Deborah Levesque, of Lewiston; one sister, Anita Raymond and her husband, Robert, of Old Orchard Beach; and many nieces and nephews.
