1939 – 2014
FREEPORT — Shirley Ann O’Donnell, 74, formerly of Lewiston, passed away at the Freeport Nursing Home on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 11, 1939, the daughter of Frank and Evelyn Norris. She attended Auburn schools and lived in the Lewiston-Auburn area until 2002, when she moved to the Freeport Nursing Home. She married the love of her life, Raymond “Mike” O’Donnell, in 1973.
Her favorite pastime was spending time with her husband. She loved meeting new people and sharing stories about everything. Her personality was to smile and joke with all whom were lucky enough to know her. Despite her medical issues through the years, she remained strong and lived her life to the best of her ability.
She is survived by her husband Raymond “Mike” O’Donnell, of South Paris; one sister, Sandra Harris, of Greene; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Norris; and two brothers, Billy and Earl.
Shirley’s family would like to thank the staff at the Freeport Nursing Home and Beacon Hospice for the wonderful care they provided her.
