Dr. Seuss family fun day

FAYETTE — The 12th annual Dr. Seuss family fun day will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Fayette School.

Guest readers will be Tom Saviello, Joe Young. Jim Wright and Clayton Putnam. The event is sponsored by the Underwood Library and the Fayette School & Home Association.

Churches join for March 1 dinner

RANGELEY — The annual Ecumenical Soup/Bread/Desserts supper will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Episcopal Church Undercroft, 2614 Main St.

Proceeds will provide fuel assistance to neighbors. There will be 12 homemade soups, three from each church; eight breads, two from each church; and a selection of desserts. The cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children under 10.

Rangeley Ecumenical Churches are The Rangeley Congregational Church, The Rangeley Free Baptist Church, The Episcopal Church (Church of the Good Shepherd) and the Catholic Church (St. Luke’s Roman Catholic).

Mardi Gras dinner, talent show

WILTON — Mardi Gras Dinner and Talent Show will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 59 High St. at the corners of High and School streets. The event will benefit St. Luc’s Trou du Nord, Haiti.

All are welcome; fun for all ages. Dinner will include choice of jambalaya or rice and beans plus homemade breads and praline cheesecake. Entertainment will feature talent from St. Luke’s and beyond.

Admission is by donation. Costumes, silly hats and masks are encouraged. Reservations are required by calling St. Luke’s at 645-2639 or emailing to stlukes@myfairpoint.net.

Ash Wednesday service at Shorey

INDUSTRY — Ash Wednesday Service will be held at 7 p.m.Wednesday, March 5, at Shorey Chapel, 1109 Industry Road. There will be an Imposition of Ashes.
