1923 – 2014

FARMINGTON — Celia L. White, 90, of Livermore Falls and formerly of North Jay, died early Tuesday morning, Feb. 25, at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was born in Rangeley on Dec. 12, 1923, a daughter of Carrol and Susan (Ross) Berry. She graduated from Rangeley schools and on July 20, 1942, married Jesse White in Rangeley. They made their home in Farmington for many years, before moving to North Jay. Her husband died on Dec. 5, 2002, and Celia subsequently moved to the senior housing apartments in Livermore Falls.

Celia worked for many years and retired from G.H. Bass in Wilton.

She enjoyed reading, knitting various articles of clothing for her grandchildren, traveling with her husband — including trips to Florida and Colorado to visit family members — and camping and fishing with her husband.

Celia is survived by her children, Susan Keilitz of Clearwater, Fla., Richard White and his wife, Muriel, of Farmington, Nancy White of Epson, N.H., and Robert White and his wife, Sonny, of Augusta; grandchildren, Scott, Dana, Ryan, Sherry and Renee; great-granddaughters, Ashley, Dayna, Allison, Jameson, Madison, Whitney, Bailey, Rebecca and Madison; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Belisle; and brothers, Ralph, Ezra, Norman, Herbert, Boyd, Eugene and John.
