HARRISON — At least three people were taken to hospitals after a two-car crash on Route 117 near Bolsters Mill Road around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

“We just heard a big bang,” said Heather Smith of 760 Norway Road, who ran out of her house to see the cars side by side and a man sitting in a snowbank with his head in his hands.

Rescue workers from Oxford, Harrison and Bridgton responded, along with Bridgton Fire Department personnel who extricated two people from the cars. One man was conscious.

Further information on the names of those involved and how the accident occurred was unavailable from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday night.
