1941 – 2014

AUBURN — Nancy Lee Stuart, 72, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 21, surrounded by family and close friends.

Born on June 14, 1941, as the youngest of 17 children to Albro and Eva Pratt, Nancy grew up in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1959. She married in 1970, and became a stay-at-home mom with the birth of her son in 1971.

Through the years, she touched many lives with her ability to love unconditionally and give selflessly. She was an active volunteer and member of many groups through the years, including parents’ clubs, Mechanic Falls Senior Citizens and Barker Mill’s Red Hatters.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, David, of Auburn; her son, David II and his wife, Kimberly, and the sparkle of her grandmother’s eye, their daughter, Emma, of New Gloucester; and her sisters, Dorothy Merrill, Glennice Cline, Beverly Rawson, Gladys Lamare and Sandra MacDiarmid.

She was predeceased by her parents and 11 siblings.
