AUBURN — Roger L. Croteau, 75, of Lisbon, passed away on Sunday morning at the Hospice House in Auburn, with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on May 25, 1938, the son of the late Roger P. and Irene (Parent) Croteau. He grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools. In 1957, he married Theoline “Tillie” Bouchard and they had a daughter, Tina. On March 22, 1969, he married Georgette Janelle in Lewiston and they were happily married for nearly 45 years.

He worked in various sales positions throughout his life and was known for his integrity that contributed to a loyal clientele and a successful career. An active member of Holy Trinity parish and the church’s folk group, Roger’s voice brought enjoyment to members of the church community and residents at local nursing homes. Roger and Georgette also enjoyed hosting the Holy Trinity prayer group at their home for many years. As a proud and active member of the Knights of Columbus, he held most positions in the organization, including Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator. Roger loved cars and kept pictures of every vehicle he owned over the years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing guitar and singing, especially with his grandchildren.

Roger is survived by his wife, Georgette of Lisbon; his daughter, Tina Grigsby and her husband, Jim, of Sebastian, Fla.; his grandchildren, Ryan and Caila Grigsby; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Connie and Ann.

CROTEAU — Roger L., 75, died Sunday, March 2, at the Hospice House in Auburn. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 7, at Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Lisbon. Per the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a charitable contribution in Roger’s memory to The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer, Hope and Healing, 29 Lowell St., Lewiston, ME 04240.
