RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial Honoring the Life of Roland “Doc” Carignan was celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 1, at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Greg Dube was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were; prior to the mass “I Did It My Way,” entrance hymn was “How Great Thou Art,” Offertory Hymn was “J’ irai la voir un jour,” Communion hymn was “Let There Be Peace On Earth” and the Recessional song was the “Caissons Go Rolling Along.” The Old Testament was proclaimed by Shelby Carignan. The New Testament was proclaimed by Jackiellen Bonney. Offertory gifts were presented by grandchildren, Evan and Abbey. Personal reflections were shared by son, Paul Carignan. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandchildren. Military Honors were rendered by the Maine Funeral Honor Guard. A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
