Gold LEAF kick-off postponed

FARMINGTON — The Gold LEAF Senior College spring kick-off event that was scheduled for March 12 has been postponed because of the snow to March 20. The kick-off will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the University of Maine at Farmington student center, 111 South St.

The event is free and open to the public. Membership is open to anyone age 50 and older interested in lifelong learning for the fun of it. For more information, call 778-7063, email goldleaf@maine.edu or visit goldleaf.wikispaces.com.

Dance, music set for March 15

JAY — A dance with music by the Campground Band will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the VFW Hall, 64 Jewel St.

Merry Go Roundup is March 16

JAY — A Merry Go Roundup with vintage and original western music will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at Walsh’s Family Tree, Routes 4 and 140.

Cost is $5. All donations will benefit the Good Neighbors Fuel Fund.

Homemakers to meet March 20

CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, in the Chesterville Town Office on the Dutch Gap Road.

The topic of the meeting will be Italy with guest presenters Josette Billin and her mother, Marilyn.
