RSU 9 Director Betsey Hyde of Temple, right, brought a new nameplate holder to the school board Tuesday. She made a flower box out of Styrofoam and put homemade flowers in it with pictures of children from the school district. She said it represents an investment in the students’ education and the district. Director Iris Silverstein is at left. Hyde is the second board member to create a holder for nameplates. Director Ross Clair of Chesterville brought in a wooden house with $1 bills attached to represent concerns over roof and air-conditioning issues in the district and that the buck stops with the board.
