RUMFORD — The canceled March 13 Rumford Area Quilters meeting has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street.

Dirigo Elementary pre-K sign-up

PERU — Dirigo Elementary School is holding pre-K sign-ups.

Parents interested in enrolling a 4-year-old in the two-day-a-week pre-K program should call the school at 562-4207 and provide their name, number and address.

Rumford Elks to install officers

RUMFORD — Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862 will hold the annual Installation of Officers for the 2014-15 year on Saturday, March 22. Social hour will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., roast pork dinner at 6 and the installation at 7.

Being installed are: David Fitzpatrick, exalted ruler; Christine Murphy, leading knight; Allan Gallant, loyal knight; Kurt Pitts, lecturing knight; Debi Briggs, secretary; Darlene Whitaker, treasurer; George Wyman, inner guard; Cindy Wright-Haun, tiler; Lew Irish, chaplain; Sandra Welch, esquire; and trustees Wayne Arsenault, Don Hopkins, Rick Sarle, David Bulger and Albert Pomerleau.
