1940 – 2014
LEWISTON — Reginald A. “Reggie” Lee, 73, of North Jay, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Farmington on April 28, 1940, a son of Carroll and Althea (Blodgett) Lee. He attended Weld, Wilton and Dixfield schools, and later in life earned his diploma from Jay High School.
On July 1, 1961, he married Sylvia Maxwell in Turner. They made their home in North Jay, as he worked in a local shoe shop. He also worked in construction for various companies and later worked at Madison Paper Co., Moose Horn Trading Post in North Jay and most recently at R.S. Osgood’s in East Dixfield, from which he retired.
Reggie was passionate about all things mechanical. He took great pleasure in tinkering and doing restoration projects on old cars, engines and tractors. He was a member of the Maine Antique Power Association and the Maine Antique Tractor Club.
Reggie is survived by his wife, Sylvia, of North Jay; daughters, Brenda Lee and Christina Lee, both of North Jay; siblings, William Lee of North Jay, Jeffrey Lee and his wife, Mickie, of Missouri, Steven Lee and his wife, Sharon, of Weld, Linda Lee of Weld and Florida and Susan Scott and her companion, Fred Richard, of Auburn and Florida; seven grandchildren, Reggie, Sheena, Mikayla, Amber, Keana, Lakyn and Autumn; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Terrance”Terry” Lee.
