FARMINGTON – Forestry and wood-harvesting program instructors Chris Maxim and Rodney Spiller are looking for donations to help buy awards, food and other items for the 38th annual Loggers’ Meet.

The Foster Career and Technical Education Center in Farmington at the Mt. Blue Campus is hosting the event May 8 and 9 in a field across from the Mt. Blue High School and center on Seamon Road.

Student loggers from around the state will compete in events to demonstrate their skills, including throwing pulp wood, two-person cross-cut relay, throwing an ax and operating equipment.

Those interested may send donations to Foster Career and Technical Education Center, c/o Forestry Program, 129 Seamon Road, Farmington, ME 04938.
