LEWISTON — LA Woman Rising, Violence Against Women NO JOKE Rally, 5:15 p.m., Callahan Hall, Lewiston Public Library. Join Safe Voices, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services, the Center for Wisdom’s Women and the YWCA at a rally calling for an end to violence against women and for building a local LA Women Rising network.
LEWISTON — City Council workshop and regular meeting in City Hall. Workshop begins at 6 p.m. with a discussion of multifamily housing unit issues. Regular meeting at 7 p.m. with topics including junkyard permits, condemned housing for three properties and appointments to the Lewiston-Auburn Railroad board of directors.

AUBURN — Public hearing on 2014-15 school budget, proposed at $39.04 million, a 5 percent revenue increase, 7 p.m. in front of the School Committee, City Council Chamber, Auburn Hall.
