LEWISTON — The Lewiston CareerCenter is offering free programs throughout April.

It will also take part in the Androscoggin County Job Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 4 at Central Maine Community College, 1250 Turner St., Auburn.

The list of programs this month includes:

Resume Reviews —  8 to 10 a.m., every Thursday.

GATEway to Employment — 2 to 4 p.m., April 3 and 17.

Professionals Moving Ahead! — 9 a.m. to noon, April 3, Employer Panel #1. Registration not required.

Career Decision Making — April 7 and 11, and April 28 and May 2.

Job Search Tips for People with a Criminal History — 9 to 10 a.m., April 10.

Resumes and Interview Skills — Part I, 9 a.m. to noon, April 10, 9 a.m. to noon, and 2 to 5 p.m. at the CareerCenter; April 23 at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.

Professionals Moving Ahead! Employer Panel #2 — 9 a.m. to noon, April 17.

Resumes Part II — 10 a.m. to noon, April 18.

Job Search Skills — 9 to 11 a.m., April 24, 9 to 11 a.m.

Mock Job Interviews — 2 to 4 p.m., April 24.

Training Orientation — Call 753-9005 for meeting schedule and to register. Those in the South Paris area, call 743-7763, ext. 1 for information on the South Paris CareerCenter orientation dates/times.

Essentials of College Planning for Adults — Register by calling 1-800-281-3703. Please bring last year’s income tax forms to the appointment.

An adult education representative is available from 10:30 to 10:45 a.m. every Wednesday.

Orientation for People with Disabilities — 1 to 2:30 p.m., April 18. Sessions are held the third Friday of the month. Service providers are also welcome to attend. Registration not required.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of services to help people find employment or upgrade their skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and O’NET software for skills assessment. All CareerCenter services are free of charge.
