FARMINGTON — Farmington police made five arrests after breaking up a large fight at Sunny Hill Apartments early Saturday morning.
A Farmington man, Carlton “C.J.” Elliott, 25, was arrested on a charge of assault after striking a woman, Farmington police Deputy Chief Shane Cote said. Elliott was also charged with a probation violation and unpaid fines.
He came in, whacked her and started a brawl, Cote said.
Police were called to the apartment building at 276 Fairbanks Road at 1:15 a.m. to deal with the fight involving nine people, he said.
Several were consuming alcohol, he said.
Elliott was the only one arrested at that time.
Several officers were involved in the arrest of four others on warrants and probation violations the next night, he said.
At about 7 p.m. Saturday night, police went back to Sunny Hill Apartments and arrested Tiffany Aggas, 20, of Wilton on a warrant for unpaid restitution, and Gordon M. Webber, 23, and Joseph R. McKenna, 44, on charges of probation violation.
Farmington Sgt. Edward Hastings IV arrested Amy Goldberg, 26, also of Farmington, at another location on warrants for unpaid fines, fees and probation violation, he said.
Aggas was bailed from the Franklin County Detention Center on Sunday, and Webber was released Monday, according to a jail officer.
Elliott, McKenna and Goldberg remained at the jail Monday, she said.
Officers assisting with the arrests included Franklin County Sheriff Deputy Christopher Chase, Maine State Trooper Reid Bond, and Farmington police officers Bridgette Gilbert, Darin Gilbert, Michael Lyman, Ryan Rosie and Derrick Doucette.
