LEWISTON — Denise P. “Nise” Springer, 50, passed away unexpectedly at home, surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 3, after a brave battle with lupus.
She was born on Nov. 20, 1963, in New Britain, Conn., the daughter of Raynald and Beatrice (Brown) Pleau. She attended St. Peter’s School and Lewiston High School, and had been a pharmacy technician at Walmart for 10 years. On March 21, 1981, she married her first husband, Raymond Lemieux; together, they had a daughter, Destiney. On June 26, 2004, she married Lyle E. Springer, whom she leaves behind. Denise enjoyed gambling at Oxford Casino and playing bingo.
She is survived by her husband of Lewiston; her parents, Raynald and Beatrice Pleau, of Lewiston; her two brothers, Gary Pleau of Auburn and Ricky and his wife, Marie Pleau, of South Carolina; her daughter, Destiney and her fiancé, Victor Montez, of Lewiston; and her one and only grandchild who was the love of her life, Christian Montez, whom she adored dearly and there was not a spot in her home that did not have a picture of Christian; he was her everything.
