LEWISTON — Finance Committee special meeting, 5:30 p.m., to discuss the proposed 2014-15 budget.

AUBURN — City Council workshop and regular meeting. Workshop at 5:30 p.m., City Manager Clinton Deschene to present draft 2014-15 budget. Regular meeting at 7 p.m. with topics of budgets, liquor licenses and Federal Emergency Management Agency storm planning.

LEWISTON — City Council workshop at 6 p.m. Topics include plans to reconstruct Pierce Street and budgets for the parking, public works and public utilities.

AUBURN — Canadian landscape art appreciation discussion led by Michael Everett, art movement of Canada’s Group of Seven, 2-4 p.m., Auburn Public Library, in collaboration with Senior College.

WEDNESDAY

AUBURN — Auburn School Committee, budget workshop, begins at 5:30 p.m., Auburn Hall.

THURSDAY

AUBURN — Lewiston-Auburn Transit Committee meeting, noon, Auburn Hall. The group manages Citylink, the Twin Cities bus system.

LEWISTON — City Council workshop, 6 p.m. Topics include budgets for police, community development and joint services, and Tax Increment Finance districts.

FRIDAY

LEWISTON — Family barn dance, fun and easy contra and square dance for all ages, led by dance instructor Cindy Larock, 6:30-7:45 p.m., with live music provided by the Great Falls Folk Orchestra, admission $1; at 8-11 pm. evening of up-tempos contras and couple dancing to music by fiddler Doug Protsik and Great Falls Folk Orchestra, all dances taught; no experience necessary.
