SANDY RIVER PLANTATION — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman suspected of stealing a backpack March 29 from the base lodge at Saddleback Maine ski resort.
The woman’s image was caught by surveillance video camera at the ski resort.
“The woman pictured stole a black backpack containing an iPhone, clothing and ski boots,” Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said in a release. He is asking anyone who can identify the woman in the pictures to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 778-2680 and ask for Lt. David St. Laurent.
If people wish to remain anonymous, they can use the tip line by sending a text to the number 274637 and include the word “franktip” in the text, Nichols said.
People may also go to the department Web page at www.franklincounty-me.org and follow the directions there to leave an anonymous tip.
