Fellowship night at Evening Star lodge
BUCKFIELD — Fellowship night will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the Evening Star No. 147 Lodge.

Annual city-wide Spring Celebration
AUBURN — The City of Auburn Recreation Division in conjunction with the Auburn Boys & Girls Club and United New Auburn Association have announced the annual city-wide Spring Celebration to take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 19.
Children can enjoy free games and activities at the Hasty Community Center and at 1 p.m. an egg hunt will take place at Walton Elementary’s walking track.
The Spring Celebration is a family-friendly and free event that will take place rain or shine.

Free community recycle day
AUBURN — A community recycle day will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at 40 Stanley St., just off Center Street, behind Stratham Tire.
Several local organizations are joining forces to offer the community a convenient and free way to recycle items such as tires, televisions, printers, cell phones, eye glasses, batteries, plastics, metals, office paper and more. Community Credit Union, eWaste Recycling Solutions, Re-Harvest and Stratham Tire are partnering to provide this service to the community.

Welcome, Neighbor packets promote NG
NEW GLOUCESTER — Local businesses and organizations can obtain free publicity by participating in Welcome, Neighbor, a grassroots community volunteer project. It was developed to welcome new residents to New Gloucester by providing information that may assist in their transition. During the past six years, town office staff members have handed out 620 packets to new residents.
Only New Gloucester-based businesses, organizations and community groups will have the opportunity to include items, such as business cards, brochures or other promotional materials, in the 100 packets to be assembled. There’s no charge or obligation to participate.

Costa Rica trip for Lisbon residents
LISBON — Lisbon residents are invited to adventure in Costa Rica.
The Lisbon Culture Crew is developing plans and itineraries for Lisbon students (ages 10 to 15), faculty, staff and residents for a trip to Costa Rica during February break, 2015.
The trip will include zip-lining over a rainforest canopy, kayaking on a volcanic lake, exploring a cloud forest, seeing two active volcanoes, hiking through a rainforest, visiting a Costa Rican school, visiting national parks and biological reserves and viewing crocodiles in their natural habitat.
