Coach: Steve Amoroso (first year)
Last year’s results: 10th in MVC, 21st in Class C
Returning letter-winners: Seniors — Nolan Aube (800), Michael Dempski (distance), Parker Hachey (200, 400), Madison Jalbert (distance), Matt Stalford (hurdles), Eric Ulin (400); Juniors — Jarod Dye (800), Zach Little (throws).
Key loss: Robbie Pallozzi.
Promising newcomers: Sophomore — Ryan Lutrzykowski; Freshman — Matthew Maguire.
Season outlook: Amoroso takes over from legendary coach Keith Weatherbie, who founded the program five years ago. Weatherbie is still around to give guidance to the throwers along with Pallozzi, who is ineligible to compete as a fifth-year senior after going to New Englands in 2013. Dempski and Little are captains. Amoroso likes the athleticism of those who are new to the team, and expects the junior high and youth programs to begin paying dividends in the near future.
