I come from a generation where politics became farcical. Where Monica Lewinsky’s blue dress became more important than foreign policy. Where there was forever a war on something … drugs, terror, poverty — even Christmas — but never any solutions. Where Will Ferrell represented my political views more than any candidate running for office.

I come from a generation frequently described as cynical, individualistic, uninvolved, but more so — mistrustful of the government.

I come from Generation X and, up until this point, I have been silent. That was, until I met Shenna Bellows.

When I hear Bellows speak, it is as though all of the anger my generation has felt toward candidates being mere bobbleheads representing corporate interests has been filtered into this one calm and centered candidate.

Bellows is dedicated to equality and fairness for all Mainers, rather than an elite few.

I support Shenna Bellows for U.S. Senate.
