BETHEL — The West Parish Congregational Church will host an indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, to raise money for people who need dentures, organizer Jane Chandler said.

The Smile Fund was established 11 years ago by the church to help people in Bethel, Andover, Gilead, Greenwood, Newry and Woodstock. It has helped 60 people, so far.

“This dental work is expensive,” Chandler said, “and this fund is for helping those for whom financial resources are not available.”

The church desires “to improve the quality of someone’s smile, and with that, their self-esteem, which can often lead to improved employment possibilities,” she said.

Donations for the sale may be left Wednesday, April 30, through Friday, May 2.
