BRUNSWICK, Maine — A 15-year-old Brunswick boy was taken to a local hospital Tuesday afternoon after he was struck by a car at the intersection of Maine and Belmont streets.

Eugene Reynolds, 82, of Georgetown was driving east on Belmont Street when he pulled forward to turn onto Maine Street and struck Rowan Horton, who was crossing in a crosswalk on Belmont Street at about 3:20 p.m., according to Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department.

Horton was taken to Parkview Adventist Medical Center with a complaint of leg pain. He was treated and released on Tuesday, according to Parkview spokeswoman Tory Ryden.

Reynolds was not charged for the incident, Hagan said.
