1918 – 2014

FARMINGTON — Alice May Osborne went home to our Lord on Easter Sunday, April 20, at the home of her youngest daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Larry Barkow, where she had been living and receiving excellent care for the past five years.

She was born on March 27, 1918, a daughter of Lyman and Rose (Curtis) Tracy and attended school in New Sharon, before marrying Frank O. Osborne. Alice and her husband ran a successful dairy farm and raised 13 children.

Alice is survived by 11 of those children, Francena Grant of Abbingdon, Va., Elizabeth Moulton and her husband, Robert, of Caribou, Eleanor Jackson and her husband, Lawrence, of West Farmington, Frank W. Osborne of Industry, Elsie Phillips and her husband, Albert, of New Sharon, Margaret James and her husband, Lauris, of Farmington, Rachel Chick and her husband, Freeman, of Industry, Josephine Boutilier and her husband, David, of Sanford, Koren Velez of Wilton, William Osborne and his wife, Sandra, of Farmington and Cheryl Barkow and her husband, Lawrence, of Farmington; family friend, Geraldine Lovejoy, of Farmington; three dozen grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; son, Oliver O. Osborne; daughter, Helen P. Osborne; great-grandson, Jacob Chick; son-in-law, Donald Grant; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Osborne; and her seven brothers and sisters.
