WILTON — Joseph D. “BJ” “Bubba” Gould, 39, of Wilton, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 20, in the comfort of his home.
He was born in Farmington on May 16, 1974, a son of David and JoAnn (Perry) Gould. Joe graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1992 and went on to attend Central Maine Technical School, later earning his CDL.
He worked for various trucking companies until starting his own business, Joe Gould Trucking, later changing the name to, LAG Transport. He also co-owned Sunrise Maple Farm in Wilton.
BJ loved everything with an engine. He enjoyed restoration projects, motorcycles, camping, boating, barbeques, staying at camp and working in the sap house. In high school, he was an accomplished saxophone player and was a member of the marching band. His greatest pleasure, however, was time spent with his family.
Bubba is survived by his wife, Laura (Sargood) Gould, of Wilton, whom he married on Aug. 24, 2003, at Proctor’s Garden in Weld; his stepchildren, Destiny Rose Nelson and Malcolm Nelson of Wilton; parents, David and JoAnn Gould of Wilton; a sister, Betsy Mancine and her husband, Dominic, and their children, Emma Mae Rose and Joseph “Joey” Mancine; a brother, Scott Gould and his wife, Mindy, of Washington, and their children, Antyna, Merritt and Rhiannon; maternal grandfather, Joe Perry, of Wilton; a sister-in-law, Charity Sargood of Wilton and her son, Logan Comfort; a sister-in-law, April Foster of Brockton, Mass., and her two children; his beloved dogs, Josie, Harley and Murdock; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Beverly Gould; maternal grandmother, Ethel Libby; and his favorite aunt, Judith Tardif.
Words of condolence and tribute may be shared with his family and friends on his tribute wall at www.wilesrc.com.
