AUBURN — Two honor students at Central Maine Community College, Anthony Arcuicci and Allyson Phinney, have been named to the Maine Community College System All-Maine Academic Team. They are among 14 students who will be honored at an upcoming luncheon hosted by the MCCS Board of Trustees.

The All-Maine Academic Team is part of the national Phi Theta Kappa program, an international honor society for two-year colleges. Students are nominated and selected for the team by their college based on outstanding academic achievement, leadership and service.

Arcuicci of Poland is a general studies major and a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. He participated in the PTK New England Regional Leadership Conference and has volunteered with the Operation Gratitude/Center Street Dental and Patient Airlift Services. He plans to continue his studies in human biology with the goal of becoming a dentist.

Phinney is a nursing major who resides in Norway. A member of PTK, she has served as a member of the curriculum committee and as the senior nursing students’ representative. After she completes her studies at CMCC she plans to continue her education at St. Joseph’s College.
