ARUNDEL — Police have arrested two men they say are responsible for two burglaries and one attempted burglary in Arundel this month.

Twenty-six-year-old Andrew Martinolich (mar-TIN’-oh-litch), of Biddeford, and 25-year-old Richard Crossley, of Wrentham, Mass., are charged with burglary in connection with breaks-ins in town on April 16 and 17. Jewelry and a television were stolen in the first burglary, while electronics and prescriptions medications were taken in the second.

Police got their break last week when a man knocked on a woman’s door and asked if she had seen his lost dog. Knowing of the prior burglaries, she called police, who pulled over a car and saw evidence in plain view.

Crossley has posted $2,000 bail. Martinolich remains in the York County Jail. It’s unclear if either has a lawyer.
