May’s featured artist of the month is Jeanne Labounty. Her oil paintings will be on display at the reception. Labounty said, “I like to use oil for my paintings and most enjoy painting animals and things in nature, although I also enjoy painting portraits. I’ve been painting for many years but have gotten much busier at painting during the last three years; it is therapy for me in so many ways. I plan to continue painting as much as I have time for as I enjoy it more with each new painting I create.”
