Spring clean-up at Hacker’s Hill

CASCO — Loon Echo Land Trust will hold a morning of spring clean-up at the Hacker’s Hill Preserve starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 3.

Raking, pruning and preparing the flower beds for planting will be the main objectives. Work will end around 11a.m., but those wishing are invited to bring a picnic lunch. Volunteers should bring gloves, rakes, bug spray and water.

Loon Echo protects land in the northern Sebago Lake region. Hacker’s Hill is one of seven preserves that are open to the public.

Indoor yard sale tables available

PARIS — The spring indoor yard sale to benefit the Girls State program will be held from 9 a.m. to 1;30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the Foster-Carroll Post 72, American Legion, 12 Church St.

The lunch counter will be open, and there will be a bake sale table, 50/50 tickets, raffle and some vendors.

Mahoosuc band to present concert

BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Community Band will play its spring concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at West Parish Congregational UCC Church.

Patricia Boyle-Wight directs the community band.

Refreshments will follow. Donations will help defray costs of music purchases.

Rehearsals are held from 7 to 8:45 p.m. on Mondays.
