“Consider the Conversation: How Would You Like to Live at the End of Your Life?”: Thursday, May 8, from 1 to 3 p.m.; instructor, Karen Flynn and Kathy Amsden, Androscoggin Homecare & Hospice.

There will be an open discussion and a documentary “Consider the Conversation,” about the American struggle with communication and preparation for life’s end.

The program enables individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and their care partners to write their life stories.

“Keeping the Keys: Tips for Seniors to Stay Mobile Longer”: Monday, May 12, from 1 to 2 p.m.; instructor: Rayette Hudon, AAA. Learn to identify the warning signs to address to keep mobility and freedom. Discover the resources available, as well as ways to continue to stay on the road safely.

Gentle Morning Yoga for Seniors: Tuesday, May 13, from 9 to 10 a.m.; instructor, Tisha Bremner, Inner Light Yoga of Maine. The class is designed to increase vitality, gain a deeper sense of balance and find  inner calm. It combines meditation, easy warm-ups, light stretches and gentle yoga postures with deep breath awareness to enhance a sense of well being. Open to all experience and ability levels. Chairs and mats provided.

“Everyday Practical Nutrition”: Tuesday, May 13, from 11 a.m. to noon; instructor, Elizabeth Coombs, Wellness Program coordinator, Healthy Decisions Wellness, Central Maine Healthcare. The class will teach how to prepare the everyday foods that are probably already in diets, and maybe, in a tastier way.

“Acting Outrageously and Courageously”: Tuesday, May 13, from 1 to 2 p.m.; instructor, Connie Jones, SeniorsPlus, director of community services. The presentation will acknowledge that it takes courage to age well and will share tips on how to do that.

Learn about the difference between age-related memory loss and dementia and what to do if there are signs of Alzheimer’s disease.

“Living with Alzheimer’s for Caregivers, Part 1: Early Stages”: Monday, May 19, from 1 to 3 p.m.; registration, contact Kirkpatrick. Learn what the diagnosis means, what kinds of plans need to be made, the resources that are available to help and what to do at each point along the way.
