SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Marquerite Soule, a teacher at Park Avenue Elementary in Auburn, will have enough Clorox Wipes to clean her classroom for a year.
Soule won the cleaning supplies in Horace Mann’s “Closet to Classroom Clean Sweep” contest on Pinterest, and Horace Mann agent Lisa Bussiere delivered them to Soule’s classroom. The contest gave educators an opportunity to do some spring-cleaning in their classroom and organize their closets.
“We still encourage educators to share their organization and cleaning tips for their classrooms,” says Rebecca Hagerman, Horace Mann’s social liaison. “Horace Mann’s Pinterest board, ‘Closet to Classroom Clean Sweep,’ provides all kinds of great ideas for teachers to do some spring cleaning.”
“We know educators often spend their own money for classroom supplies, and this was one way we could help lighten their burden a little,” said Hagerman.
Teachers who entered the contest were eligible to win prizes from daily drawings.
