LEWISTON — Each year on the Friday before Mother’s Day, the Center for Wisdom’s Women has offered a time for women to gather who find the day to be difficult, because they have lost their mother or for any other reason.

This year’s time of reflections and ritual will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9, at the center.

Women who wish to bring their heart longings and hopes, or just be together with other women who experience the same issues, are welcome to come. Participants will read some poetry and other reflective writing, and perhaps do some writing or artwork.

Guests may also bring photos or objects to share and place them on a center table. There will be some seeds to plant and flowers to take home.

The Center for Wisdom’s Women is located at 97 Blake St. (between Pine and Ash) behind Healy Terrace. Ideas to help transform the Mother’s Day in our gathering, are welcomed.

If you have something to offer in the way of food, an art project, poem or other gift, please contact the Executive Director, Klara Tammany at 513-3922.
