Dixfield Historical Society meeting

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Historical Society will meet on Thursday evening, May 8, at the Museum House at 59 Main St.

The business portion will begin at 6:30 p.m. with voting on proposed by-laws and apartment rental requirements. At 7 p.m. there will be a short program featuring local trapper Brian Palmer answering the questions: Is there a coyote problem in our area, and if so, what can be done about it?

Refreshments will be served and the public is cordially invited.

A reminder to those in our local area to call President Donna Towle at 562-7595 if you have any old pictures you could share for scanning. The RSU 10 History Team is planning another picture scanning event for the Maine Memory Project sponsored by the Maine Historical Society, Portland. Mrs. Towle is especially interested in mid-20th century Dixfield (’40s, ’50s and ’60s) but would like to see all that you have to share.
