LEWISTON — A free, two-week class for anyone interested in starting a business is being offered in Lewiston starting on May 15.

“The Basics of Starting a Business” is a joint project of the Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community and the Women’s Business Center at Coastal Enterprises Inc.

Classes will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15 and 22, at USM Lewiston-Auburn College, 51 Westminster St.

The class covers the basics of business plans, marketing and cash planning and is suitable for those thinking about or in early startup phase of a new business.
