FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington Career Services office and the Maine CareerCenter will host the first Western Maine Community Job and Resource Fair on Thursday, May 22.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon in the UMF Fitness and Recreation Center, 152 Quebec St.

The fair is free and open to the public.

The fair was created to help students, alumni and community members in Western Maine learn about employment and service opportunities throughout the state.

More than 70 Maine employers and service providers will be in attendance, including educational, manufacturing, retail, public service, customer service, health care and social service organizations, Maine state agencies and U.S. military and veteran organizations.
