MONMOUTH — The 29th annual May Faire in Monmouth will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at Cumston Hall.
Friends of Cumston Library will offer home grown perennials, annuals from Gingerbread Farms, veggie seedlings and sunflowers from the Cottrell School Greenhouse, and manure by the bucketful from Blazing Star Stables.
There will also be free family events, such as tours of Cumston Hall, a guided cemetery tour and The Theater of Monmouth will present “My Father’s Dragon.”
Helen Melledy’s Lobster Lunch, sponsored by the Friends of Cumston Library, will be available for purchase, as will hamburgers and hotdogs grilled by members of the Junior Fire Department. And, the United Church of Monmouth will host a bake sale for dessert.
The Monmouth Museum will offer sale tables with books, bird houses and t-shirts, as well as the regular “Cream of the Crop” table. The library will hold a used book sale, and local artists will also be out and about showing off and selling their wares.
Proceeds from the plant sale and the book sale will benefit programs at the Cumston Library.
