1930 – 2014

LEWISTON — Raymond W. Corriveau, 83, a resident of Pleasant Street, died Tuesday evening, May 13, at his home, with his loving family by his side following a brief illness.

He was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, on June 7, 1930, a son of Wilfred A. and Alberta (Maheux) Corriveau. He was employed in his early years as a hand-sewer in the local shoe industry, until their closings and then became a press operator at Pioneer Plastics in Auburn, until his retirement in 1995.

Raymond was an active member of Holy Cross Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing and horseshoes. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, the former Anne-Marie Gagne, whom he married on May 3, 1958, of Lewiston; two sons, Marc L. Corriveau and wife, Christine, of Otisfield and Michel J. Corriveau and life partner, Bianka Kibler, of Lewiston; and six grandchildren, Amanda, Melissa, Michaela, Jennalee, Christopher and Zachary. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Fern and Jean Corriveau; as well as one sister, Rita.
